Vista Ultimate:-”No Services Found” in Online Media

I am using 64 Bit Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. When I open media center and go to online media, I get a message saying “No Services Found”,only games are there. But When I am running MCE2005 on another partition I am able to access the online media easily.

So I checked the settings.I checked the language option under Internet Explorer,Regional and Language Options  under the Control Panel. All found alright.

Next I checked the settings under Media Center. There I opened General > Automatic Download Option > Download now to the Guide.Even changed the settings to Manual download.Nothing helped.

Then opened the Program Library options. There were seven games and Burn CD/DVD option under the Edit option of it.So nothing there to be edited.

So next thing to check was Firewall.I don’t use any third party firewall. It’s only the Windows default one, which was found not blocking media center services.

Next I re-run the Windows Media Center Set Up.

My system has everything updated. All the necessary drivers as well as Windows Update.

April 2007 cumulative fix(KB 932818 has Online Media support, which  has been added for Windows Media Center on 64-bit versions of Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate.

So I have already installed this fix through the Windows update -but most unfortunately the result remains the same.

    download ehome.zip from this site
on your computer, go to your c: drive
    open up ProgramData folder
    open Microsoft folder
    delete the ehome folder

now unzip the ehome folder you downloaded
place the new ehome folder where you deleted the old one.
