Windows Media Center Remote Control is not working after upgrading to Windows 8

Problem:

I have upgraded my OS from windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro.I have installed Windows Media Center add-on pack.Since then it appears as if the MCE Remote (standard eHome Infrared Transceiver driver) is not completely functional in Windows 8 Media Center. Many buttons are not working-I had no such issue in Windows 7 Media Center.
Resolution:-

1. Uninstall eHome driver via Device Manger
2.Reboot.
2. Unplug USB receiver while rebooting
3. After computer rebooted, plug the USB receiver into a different USB port.
4.Let OS find the device and install the necessary driver.
