Fixing Hyper-V issue with Windows 8 Media Center


There are plenty of issues with Hyper-V is Windows 8 Media Center.. When the Hyper-V role is enabled  the users get the following error when attempting to watch live TV in Media Center : “Display driver error: The video display device does not support playback of protected content.”


There is a workaround  by Barb Bowman,MVP on this issue.She suggested to fire up the following  command via Command Prompt:-

bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
