Problem:

I am using Windows 8.1 Pro with Windows Media Center. My computer is connected to Sony Bravia HDTV.I have noticed that if Windows Media Center is running in Full Screen Mode, the full screen output is resized to

1024 X 768 but not sized back to the proper resolution of 1920 X 1080.How to fix?

Resolution:

A few things you could try:

1]update your graphic card driver.Visit the website of the graphic card manufacturer to download and install the latest driver.

2]Open Windows Media Center > Tasks > Settings > General > Windows Media Center Setup > Configure your TV or monitor
Here you change the resolution to 1080p.

3]Buy Gefen HDMI Detective Plus-it solves this problem by ensuring that the HDMI source receives a correct EDID signal at all times.
