How To Reset Microsoft Edge

By default there is no ‘Reset’ button in Microsoft Edge but you can try the following to reset it to default settings.

  1. Click on the More actions (…) icon on Microsoft Edge

2.   Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.

3.   Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.


Open Task Manager

Right click on Microsoft Edge

Go to details click on microsoftedgeCP.exe

Click end task

Repeat the above for several times.

You cannot remove Edge via PowerShell it will give you error as it’s a part of Windows System.


Another option is to create a New User Account
