I am using Windows 10. My synaptics settings get changed after rebooting.
- First go to the website of the manufacturer to download and install the latest Touchpad driver which is compatible with Windows 10.
- You may create a new user account and recheck the settings.
- You may go for a Clean Boot to test the situation.
- You may check the registry settings:
Open Run menu by pressing Windows key and R
Into the Run box type regedit and hit enter
In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following location:
Locate a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade
If this is present, right click the key and select Modify
Set the Value data field to 0 ( Zero ) and then click Ok.
Close the Registry Editor.
Make the Synaptics setting changes and save them, then check if they’re now retained after a reboot.
