Fixing Sleep issue in Surface Pro 4

Problem:

There is a 7% to 9% of the battery  consumption per hour when Surface Pro 4 devices are put in Sleep mode. As a result Surface Pro 4 users opt Hibernation in place of Sleep.

Resolution:

This is an unofficial fix.

It has been found that the Graphic Card Driver released by Intel in last December- DRIVER VERSION: 15.40.14.64.4352 & 15.40.14.32.4352;DATE: December 23, 2015  fixes the problem.

Download the zip file of  64 bit driver for Windows 10 from Intel’s site.

Extract the file.

Open Device Manager

Locate your current graphic card driver.

Right click on it and select Update the driver.

Choose browse my computer

Locate the directory where you have extracted the zip file.
