The System has Sound but Media Players don’t have sounds in Windows 10 Anniversary Version

Problem:

I downloaded a video in mp4 format but when tried to play there was only picture without any audio.

Strange enough there is sound in system, I can watch videos on YouTube fine but when I use any media player eg. Groove, WMP12 or VLC Player it emits no sound.

I downloaded the codecs also, checked that the system has latest audio driver. How to fix?

Resolution:

Right click on Volume icon present in the Taskbar, select Sounds, and click Playback, right click on a different playback device and set it as default. Don’t forget to click on OK or Apply.
