Unable to start Dolbi Audio Driver in Windows 10 Anniversary Build

Problem:

After upgrading to Windows 10 Anniversary build I am getting the following error in my laptop :-

“Unable to start the Dolby audio driver. Please restart the computer or reinstall the driver if the problem persists.”

Resolution:

  1. Uninstall  “Realtek High Definition Audio” or “Conexant SmartAudio” or “IDT High Definition Audio” driver via Control Panel.

Open Control Panel > ”Uninstall a program” > Locate and find “Realtek High Definition Audio” or “Conexant SmartAudio” or “IDT High Definition Audio” driver and uninstall then reboot.

2.Now get connected with the internet and update the audio driver either via Windows Update or by visiting the driver support site of the laptop manufacturer.
