Fixing Edge crash in Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14942

Problem:

This is a known issue with Windows 10 insider build 14942.

Due to a recent platform change, Microsoft Edge may crash after launch, or when you type in address bar or try to open a new tab.

Resolution:

To get Microsoft Edge back working again, you can run the following via PowerShell (Note – this may clear your cookies and history as a result of the workaround):

Get-ChildItem ‘HKCU:\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\Children’ | foreach {Remove-Item $_.pspath -Recurse}
