“Connect to the Internet to activate Windows” Error in Windows 10

I have upgraded from Windows 8.1 Professional to Windows 10 Professional. But I am unable to activate OS as it says:

Connect to the Internet to activate Windows -though you are connected to the internet.

This is a fault from Microsoft’s end. It is an activation service issue. Microsoft is working on the issue with their  service and your PC will automatically activate once the  service issue is addressed. So be patient.
