Fix problems using Windows Update is a hidden feature in Windows 11 insider build 25284.

This feature allows you to reinstall the currently installed build without an installation media. This will use files from Windows Update.

Let us see how to activate this feature:

  • Download ViVeTool
  • Unzip to extract the zip files of the app.
  • Open Command Prompt as Admin and run the following command: c:\vivetool\vivetool /enable /id:42550315.
  • Reboot.
  • Now open Settings and click on Windows Update tab to explore this new feature.

Windows 11 Build 22000.1515 (KB5019274)

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Build 22000.1515 (KB5019274) to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11 (original release).

This update includes the following improvements:

  • New! combined Windows Spotlight with Themes on the Personalization page
  • New! improved the Microsoft Account experience in Settings.
  • New!  full amount of storage capacity of all your OneDrive subscriptions.
  • New! storage alerts for Microsoft OneDrive subscribers on the Systems page in the Settings app.
  • New!  Xbox subscription details on the Accounts page in the Settings app.
  • fixed an issue that affected searchindexer.exe. It randomly stopped you from signing in or signing out.
  • fixed an issue that stopped you from searching for a file based on the file’s contents.
  • fixed a resource conflict issue between two or more threads (known as a deadlock). This deadlock affected COM+ applications.
  • fixed an issue that affected conhost.exe. It stopped responding.

  • fixed an issue that damaged memory. The issue occurred when you used certain HD audio controller hardware.
  • fixed an issue that affected certain systems that had firmware Trusted Platform Modules. (TPM). This issue stopped you from using AutoPilot to set up those systems.

Draw Stickers on Windows 11 build 25267

There is an option called Stickers, which will allow you to add stickers to the wallpapers on the desktop. It allows you to draw stickers. This feature is enabled on Windows 11 build 25267.

Steps:

  • Open Command Prompt as Admin.
  • Type the following command to navigate to the ViveTool folder and press Enter:
cd c:\folder\path\ViveTool-v0.3.2

  • Type the following command to enable drawing for Stickers and press Enter:
vivetool /enable /id:36165848
  • Reboot.

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Build 22000.829 (KB5015882) to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11 on July 14.2022 for Windows Insiders.

This update includes the following improvements:

  • provided the ability for user to consent to receive urgent notifications when focus assist is on.
  • option for eligible devices to update to a newer Windows 11 version during the out-of-box experience (OOBE) when the user  first signs in. If one chooses to update to a newer version, the update process will begin shortly after the update is installed on the device.

Known issue:

  • On some devices, Widgets may crash in the background upon logging in and show the static default icon instead of populating and updating to show the weather.
