Some websites work on WiFi but not wired LAN.

Problem:

I am  using Windows 10. My problem is some websites work on WIFI but not wired LAN.

Resolution:

You may try the followings:”

Flush DNS:

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and execute the following command followed by pressing the Enter key:

ipconfig /flushdns

Try a different server:

Try using public DNS servers like Google (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4) on your wired connection.

Firewall Rules:

Check if your company firewall has specific rules applied to wired connections that might be blocking access to certain websites.

  • Use tracert and ping commands to diagnose where the connection fails.
  • Open Command Prompt and type:
  • tracert [website]
    ping [website]

Compare the results for both WiFi and wired connections.

    Update Network driver.

Try connecting a different device to the wired connection and see if the website access issue persists.
