How to Upgrade from Windows 10 with a hardware raid 1 to Windows 11?

Before upgrading, it’s recommended to ensure that you have the latest RAID controller drivers compatible with Windows 11. Check the manufacturer’s website for updated drivers.

Make a complete backup of your important data.

Download the Windows 11 installation media (ISO file) from the official Microsoft website.

Create a bootable USB drive with the Windows 11 installation media.Insert the bootable USB drive into your computer and boot from it. Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the Windows 11 installation.

When you reach the “Where do you want to install Windows?” screen, you should see your RAID 1 array listed. Select the RAID array as the installation target. Windows 11 will treat the RAID array as a single disk.
