Why I left Windows Insider Programme

Windows Insider Programme is a thrilling experience if you have a spare system with which you can play with all kinds of buggy updates from time to time as they will be released by Microsoft as interim builds.

When I joined this programme I found it thrilling and adventurous enough to play with those builds of Windows 10 which were not yet released to the public and used to submit bugs.

The various features, apps added to the builds -some modified, some eliminated from time to time as they are released. It actually makes things weired if you have a single system and your harddisk contains all the important data.

Windows Insider Programme needs huge dedication to find out the little variations and one needs to address those buggs through the feedback hub. But it makes your system unasable and consumes a huge bandwidth.Last year I got busy with my professional life and decided not to play further with these things which makes my system junky and erratic. I just quitted doing anything which would make me crazy.

With huge respect to this programme I have decided to say goodbye to this programme for the time now. If you quit this programme you can rather help the community much better as end users never use any such unstable interim builds.

I have lots of important things to do in my life and which needs my PC-I simply like to keep my system stable and tension free…. Windows Insider is not the one and only thing in my life.

But my engagement with Microsoft community will continue. If my little contribution helps an end user then it’s the real joy for me.

Touch VPN is unable to connect Fix

Touch VPN is a free application which very light and simple to use. One can download it from Microsoft Store and install it.

Problem: I downloaded it from Microsoft Store and installed it on my Windows 10 Enterprise PC. But unfortunately it was giving me pop up message ‘Unable to connect…” every time I tried it.

So next I tried the following fixes:

Checked SSL and TLS are enabled or not : Open Internet Options > Advanced tab > Scroll down under Security. In my case they were checked except Use SSL 3.0, so I checked the box against that.

Findings: Nothing changed.

Reset Touch VPN: Open Settings > Apps > Touch VPN > Advanced options > Reset

Findings: Nothing changed.

Open Device Manager > Select Mini Wan Ports > Uninstalled them > Reboot

Again tried and again failed.

Uninstall Touch VPN and visit https://touchvpn.net/

Click Get Touch VPN

Select Windows msi

Downloaded and installed.

Findings: Everything perfect …connected with a brisk.

Something Went Wrong….

Today I formatted my Harddisk and decided to go with a Clean installation of Windows 10 with Feature Update to Windows 10, Version 20H2.

During installation I got this error:

Frankly speaking I never faced such error before. So I clicked try again tab and fortunately it continued and reached desktop.

I only found edge and Chromium shortcuts are white-I just deleted them.
