Display Glitch!

Problem:

Display settings telling me that the screen is using 1,000hz even though in display adapter is telling me that that 64hz.

Resolution:

The display settings of a Windows computer depend on several factors, including:

Graphic card:

Higher-end graphics cards can support higher resolutions, refresh rates, and multiple monitors. To achieve the best you must update graphic card driver.

Monitor:

Different monitors support different resolutions, refresh rates, and color depths. Windows detects the connected monitors and adjusts the available display settings accordingly.

Resolution:

Windows offers a range of resolution options based on your monitor’s capabilities.

Refresh Rate:

Common refresh rates include 60Hz and 144Hz. A higher refresh rate can result in smoother motion on the screen.

Graphic Driver:

Must be updated to get the correct display.

The version of Windows you’re using (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11) may have different interface designs for display settings. Newer versions often provide more advanced settings and features.

Fixing No Display

Problem:

The Power button is working, CPU fan is working but there is absolutely no display on monitor. How to fix?

Resolution:

If the Power button and CPU fan are working but you are not getting any display on monitor then turn off PC.

  • Check the power cable connecting to the monitor is tightly attached and in good condition. If the cable is okay then lets move to the next step of troubleshooting.
  • Open the cabinet and carefully unplug RAM from the socket.

After unplugging clean the RAM.The gold contacts of RAM modules must be clean and free of debris in order to maintain a solid connection. To clean use a tissue paper.

  • If cleaning doesn’t help then change the memory slot of RAM.
  • If required change the RAM.
  • Sometimes overheating may be an issue. In that case open the CPU, clean and put thermal paste. Attach the CPU fan.
