How To Fix Low Volume Sound when Playing Movies in Windows 8.1

Problem:

I have set my volume to maximum but when playing movies the sound is too low.I have tried different media players but no joy.

Resolution:

Update your sound driver.Visit the website of the sound card manufacturer to download and install the latest audio driver.

Open Windows 8.1 in Desktop mode.

Right click on Speaker icon present in the taskbar.

Select Playback devices.

Select Speakers or HDMI output (whichever is the default audio output)

Select Properties.

Click Enhancement tab

Put a check mark against Loudness Equalization.

Click OK/Apply.
