Can’t install Windows 10/11-Hard Drive not detected

Problem:

I am trying to boot a new windows 10 installation, after inputting the code it says it can’t find the drivers(doesn’t detect hard drive)

Resolution:

  • Check if hard drive shows up in BIOS.
  • Connect your hard drive to a different SATA port on the motherboard and try a different SATA cable. Sometimes, a faulty port or cable can cause detection issues.
  • If your hard drive requires specific drivers not included in the standard Windows installation, you may need to load these drivers during the installation process.
  • Download the necessary drivers from your motherboard or storage controller manufacturer’s website and save them on a USB flash drive.
  • During Windows installation, when prompted to select a drive to install Windows, click on the “Load driver” option and browse to the location of the downloaded drivers on your USB drive.

After Starting PC goes to BIOS straight

Problem:

After starting PC the Windows does not load rather it foes to BIOS directly. How to fix?

Resolution:

  • Firstly, check if the SSD/HDD is detected by the BIOS. If not then switch off power and open the cabinet. Unplug SATA cable and the power cable from SSD. Then again attach them firmly and check if the issue is resolved or not.(make sure both ends of SATA cable is tightly attached-one end to the SATA port of the motherboard and other end to the SSD).
  • If the issue is not resolved change the SATA cable or SATA port.
  • If the SSD/HDD is detected in the BIOS but Windows is not loading then there may be corrupted files of Windows which are preventing to load Windows. In this case you have to reinstall Windows.
